A Different Kind of Portrait

Our portraits are made with the Mamiya RB67, an iconic professional medium format camera built for high end studio, fashion, and commercial photography.

It is a massive, fully mechanical camera designed to produce exceptionally detailed 6×7 negatives, with a level of depth and sharpness far beyond a typical instant camera.

We pair it with a specially adapted Instax film back, allowing this legendary studio system to create one of a kind instant portraits with an unusually sharp and dimensional look.

Come As You Are

No preparation necessary. If you have poses or ideas in mind, bring them. If not, we’ll take our time looking through options together until something feels right.

Once we have it, we compose and photograph each portrait one at a time, hand cranking out every Instax as we go. Each photograph is then individually scanned so you leave with both the original physical portraits and high resolution digital copies.
