Located in Columbus, Ohio, just steps from The Ohio State University, Portraits by David offers a different kind of photoshoot for individuals, couples, and friends.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF PORTRAIT
Our portraits are photographed using a Mamiya RB67, a fully mechanical medium format camera from the 1970s, specially adapted to produce Instax instant film photographs.
Unlike a traditional digital photoshoot or automated photo booth, each portrait is composed and captured individually. The result is a photograph with the distinctive character of classic studio portraiture, printed on real instant film.

Come as you are.
Bring your own ideas or let us guide you through poses that feel natural. There's no need to know how to pose or prepare anything beforehand.02
Take your portrait.
Each photograph is carefully composed and taken individually using our vintage Mamiya RB67 medium format camera. We take our time to make sure every portrait feels intentional.03
Take something home
Watch your instant photographs develop and leave with original Instax prints and complimentary high resolution digital scans.

Appointments are available Monday through Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays, walk-ins are welcome from 11 AM to 2 PM on a first come, first served basis.

Absolutely. Our vintage portrait sessions are available for individuals, couples, and friends. Whether you're taking portraits together or separately, everyone is welcome.

We use real Fujifilm Instax instant film with a specially adapted vintage Mamiya RB67 medium format camera. This allows us to create physical instant photographs using a classic mechanical camera.

Not at all. You're welcome to bring inspiration photographs or pose ideas, but we're also happy to guide you throughout the session.
