What are digitals?
Digitals are simple, minimally styled photos that show your natural appearance without heavy posing, editing, or distractions. Often requested by modeling agencies for submissions and castings, they typically include clean portraits, profile shots, and full body images that give agencies an accurate representation of how you look on camera. For this portion of the session, styling is kept simple with a natural appearance and neutral clothing.
What is the concept shoot?
The concept shoot is the more creative portion of your session and is designed around you. It can be as simple as a more styled, glammed up shoot with creative posing, or it can be built around an aspect of your personality, interests, or personal style.
For example, if music is a big part of who you are, we could incorporate an instrument or other props into the shoot. If you’re into Pilates or fitness, we could create a set around that with appropriate styling and movement. If vintage clothing is part of your personal style, we could build the shoot around a vintage inspired look.
There is no set formula. The goal is to create images that feel personal to you while giving you an opportunity to show more personality, range, and presence than traditional digitals allow. Both your digitals and concept shoot take place within the same one hour studio session.
Before your session, we’ll have a one on one planning consultation to discuss the concept, styling, and overall direction of your shoot.
